Life places such a demand on all of us. We find ourselves ripping and running, rocking and rolling, moving and shaking all the days long with little or no time for rest. In fact, society teaches us to rest “less” to have “more”. We use savvy slangs like “sleep is for the sick” or “#TeamNoSleep”, and I am here to challenge that thinking pattern. The truth is rest is an essential part of our everyday life. It is not reserved for “weekends” or “vacations” only as it is sometimes perceived. Oftentimes busy people find it impossible to rest their minds even when their body is still. I find it interesting that we are called human beings, however, we tend to spend the majority of our awake hours “doing” rather than “being”.
