Women have long since been the backbone of the world, quietly leading our tribes, communities, and churches, all while raising children and leading in our homes. It was never a secret to us that women were running the world, acting as advisor and confidant to male leaders, providing strategy and clarity to heads of state, and Fortune 500 leaders.
Often with no recognition for our valuable contributions. I am reminded of Katherine Johnson and
her invaluable contributions to NASA and Mary Jane Seacole and her innovations and contributions to modern day nursing. We have been here, doing the work, creating the interventions, opening the doors, and waiting for the world to recognize us and give us our roses.
