It is a common colloquialism to say that an elder person who is still considered very attractive, is “aging like fine wine”. This comparison is made because a wine that ages well is described as FINE. But did you know that chronological age is not all that is required for wine to age well? Conditions in which the wine is kept after bottling also influence the aging process. So having the same vintage and bottling date doesn’t necessarily mean that two individual bottles of wine will both age well.
